When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

It all depends on the book and how interesting I think it is. I read the Hunger Games before tons and tons of people went crazy about it. But I didn't read Twilight until after I saw the first movie and that was only because my sister told me the book was wayyy better. I like book Bella not movie Bella, LOL. If a book sounds good and I think I might like it, then I will read it even if others say it isn't good. If I am on the fence about a book then I will look at reviews and see other people's point of view then decide.

Oh, guess what?! My birthday was Wednesday! We (my family and I) are in the middle of a road trip and we decided to go hiking and see some waterfalls (ten!). We ended up hiking 8.6 miles. Note: I said hiking and not walking so I mean some of the trail was up down up down, then up up and tons of stairs.

What’s the ONE super-hyped book you’ll NEVER read?


Hmm, thats a hard one. Super-hyped books: Harry Potter (read it before all the movies were made), Twilight (read it after I saw the first movie because they books are better), and Hunger Games (read it before I even knew there was going to be a movie). I couldn't think of any super-hyped books that are recent, so I looked about some other people's answers. Fifty Shades of Grey is really unpopular among these  people. But I can't blame them. I don't know what it is about but my sister read it and said that if she knew more about before she read, she never would have.  
I can't say that I will NEVER read a book (I did that with Twilight and ended up reading it). But I can say that I may never get around to read some books! Because I get daily emails about free books on amazon and I end up getting at least one EVERY DAY! That adds up fast!

If you could be a character from any book, who would you be?


There are so many characters I would love to be but only for a day. Like I would like to be Katniss for a day. I would love to be a character from Harry Potter for a year, so I can go on a crazy adventure and save the world (I think it would get tiring, saving the world). If I had to choose one character that I had to be, I think I would pick Katsa from Graceling. She can survive anywhere. And she has someone who truly cares for her. Also she does what she wants (maybe not at first but she gets there).

Do you have a keeper shelf for books you loved? What books are on that shelf and why?


I had one shelf that I put all my books and book related things on, but then stuff started falling off. The shelf was 3-4 feet long, i think. So I got a bigger one, about 8 feet long! I put all my books on this one shelf because I like them all! Sometimes, if I don't have a book to read, I will reread one or two, but mostly they sit up there and look pretty until my sister or someone wants to borrow one. There are about 25 books right now, most of them are from giveaway winnings. But I did buy some from amazon and from the library (less than a dollar, who can pass that up?!). 
So my one shelf is my keeper shelf and all my books are keepers! :)
