BLURB:
Loving Dangerously, Book Three Jess hates aliens. After the
invasion that destroyed Earth, the extraterrestrial bastards sold her to a
brothel as a sex slave. She may have escaped but the old memories and fears
still linger in the dark corners of her mind. Supposedly Sonis is just the
place for her—somewhere safe, where she can heal and start fresh. She’s almost
hopeful…until she meets Rasha, her new boss.
Rasha, Captain of the Sonis Royal Guard, is a warrior through and
through. He’s huge, sinfully sexy and could have any woman on Sonis—but the
woman he wants is Jess. He’s very much an alien and Jess knows she should hate
him or at least be wary, but whenever he’s around, she loses control. She tells
herself it’s only sex—amazing, mind-blowing sex like nothing else she’s ever
experienced—but there’s something about Rasha that shakes her soul. The feel of
his skin against hers, the look in his eyes as he touches her—they make her
want to believe it’s possible to find love and begin again.

EXCERPT:
He
inhaled sharply. “I can smell you.” Then he let his gaze drop to crotch.
Her
hands instinctively dropped to shield herself.
She
gasped as he dropped to his knees. “What are you doing?”
He
wrapped his arms around her and cradled her ass. Her mouth dropped open as he
nuzzled his nose between her thighs. “I can take care of this…you.”
She
dug her nails into his shoulder blades. Should she push him away or keep him
where he was?
He
made a sound so animalistic. So hot and sexy that it made her pussy respond in
ways she didn’t want it to.
“That’s
it.” He sniffed into her.
His
fingers worked in unison to massage her ass, all the while pulling her onto his
face. She tried to stand her ground even when she rocked to her toes.
He
looked up to her with eyes smoldering with heat. “Can I do it Jess?”
She
blinked, trying to remember his question. “Do…do what?”
“Lick
you until you until you come.”
Oh
God.
Her
knees buckled.
“I
want to taste you. I want to bury my face in your pussy. I want to…to…”
Growling, he bit her.
INTERVIEW:
- Where did you get the idea for the novel?
I had
already written Dangerously Mine and Dangerously Yours. I had intended to write
about JB (one of the characters from Dangerously Yours). JB was going to drop
Jess, one of his best friends off at Sonis to start her new life. But from the
first line, Jess’ character had taken over. I tried for a month to regain JB’s
perspective, but Jess being strong willed wouldn’t allow it. Finally I gave in,
intending to write a novella, but my hopes of a 15k book turned into a 25k then
upwards to 45k until I finally ended it in the 50k range. Jess had a lot more
to say than I had originally planned for her to. In the end I was glad that I
had told her story.
- Your title. Who came up with it? Did you ever
change your title?
I wanted
to keep with the series theme of Dangerously (Dangerously Mine and Dangerously
Yours). Her story was always Dangerously Hers. Rasha is hers so it was fitting.
However, Dangerously Mine was changed a few times. The original title was
Taken: Eva, but since EC already had a book titled Taken I had to change it.
After a few title tries, my editor and I settled on Dangerously Mine.
- Why did you pick this genre? What do you like
about it?
I love
watching and reading science fiction so it was an easy choice. I like that
sci-fi allows me use my imagination and creativity to shape and build new and
exciting worlds and characters. The only downfall about writing sci-fi is that
you have to find a way to remember the world that you built. I have a very
large Excel spreadsheet that I use to track everything I write. It comes in
very handy when I want to remember the name of a planet or food or even a
nickname that I’ve given someone.
- Since becoming a writer, what’s the most
exciting thing to ever happen to you?
I can
honestly say having a reader come up to me and tell me that they’ve read my
stories. I think I’m more excited than they are when we meet!
- What book are you currently reading or what
was the last book you read?
I just
finished reading Ender’s Game. I've never read it before, so when the movie
came out I decided that I wanted to read the book first before I saw the movie.
It’s a wonderful book by the way.
- What is your writing process?
I don’t
think I’ve developed it yet. I sit and try to write. Sometimes I get distracted
by the television or the internet. Ask me that question in about 5 years (LOL).
- At a book signing, do you just sign your name
or do you write a note? How do you come up with stuff to say? I write
a little note, but I try to keep it as brief as possible. I’m so afraid
that I’ll mess up the message so I opt for their name and mine and a thank
you. Maybe when I become sure of myself I’ll write long nice notes, but
until then, short or sweet.
- What is something people would be surprised to
know about you?
I’m a
registered nurse by day. I think people would be surprised to find that out
since I don’t write anything medically related.
- How do you react to a bad review?
Reviews, reviews, reviews. I think I react as anyone would in any
situation, but I realize that not every book is for every person.
- How did you celebrate the sale of your first
book?
There was a lot of screaming and crying and laughing. I was so
beside myself that I scared my daughter and dog. That first sale will forever
be the greatest.

I loved this part of your Q/A., had tears in my eyes imagining it. Warmest wishes and continued success
Thank you Elise! So many emotions with that first book. I was on a roller-coaster, going and then down.

ReplyDelete"Sometimes I sit and get distracted [when trying to write]". =P Good to know! I've often wanted to write myself, but I can barely read a book so I often wonder how in the world I could string together a full sentence! Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't always focus what I'm trying to do. Thanks for sharing! ^_^
