1)      Where did you get the idea for the novel?

I have always liked faeries and the "little people" so to me it was a given to write about them. My great-grandmother came from Ireland and I have always embraced my Celtic/Irish heritage. So much so that on every St. Patrick's Day I speak with an Irish accent all day. I once spoke to a doctor who was from Ireland (in my accent) and he asked me what part of Ireland I was from! LOL.

2)      Your title. Who came up with it? Did you ever change your title?

Surprisingly, this is my original title. I had the title for a long time before I began to write. Sometimes that happens, you get a title first and write the story based on the title, sometimes you write the story first and the title comes later.

3) Since becoming a writer, what’s the most exciting thing to ever happen to you?

Getting invited to speak at a high school creative writing class was exciting. I got to talk about the writing process, how to get published, my books, I had a blast and so did the students.

4) Which came first, the title or the novel?

For this book, it was the title.  I wanted to write about faerie lore, traditions passed down from generation to generation. So, I came up with title LORE OF FEI. Fei, is, of course, the land where the faeries dwell.

5) What book are you currently reading or what was the last book you read?

I read a lot. I read a book a day so it all depends on what day you ask me! I last read the City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. I have the City of Lost Souls but I am reluctant to read it since the next one isn't coming out for two years. I read a lot of mystery and just finished Pies and Prejudice by Ellery Adams.

Thanks for hosting me!
