Character Bio:

Natalie isn't your typical YA main character. She's overweight by more than just a few pounds, wears glasses, and can count her friends on three fingers. She's employed by a supernatural protection agency which means she has to balance her love life, family, and paperwork, all in one breath.

Natalie has a kind heart. She can be funny, witty, and is loyal to her best friends. Her favorite times are when she's quiet, and alone with her boyfriend, Tristan Miller. A good book is still her best friend, but being the towns last defense against evil leaves little time for reading.

Beneath her comfortable layers is a simmering pot of bravery and courage that she didn't know existed until last year. Now she is trying to keep her feet on the ground and come to terms with her power and with the destruction that power brings. Her bully from last year, Sarah McDonald, is dead. And it was Natalie's fault.

And people call her a hero. Expect her to lead. It leaves Natalie reeling. But she keeps it to herself and hopes it gets better. But instead, she is only getting sicker.
