Mini Review: Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine

Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine

Publisher: Roc (Aug 3, 2004)
Length: 352 pages
Format: Paperback

Summary from Amazon:
Mistaken for a murderer, Weather Warden Joanne Baldwin is hunted down and killed by her colleagues. Reborn as a Djinn, she senses something sinister entering earth's atmosphere-something that makes tomorrow's forecast look deadly.

Review:
There was a lot going on in this book. It was good though. I liked that Joanne had to learn how to be a Djinn without the help of David. I was interested in the parts where they were claimed because they became more than they were. If they could be that powerful, why don't they find someone the trust to claim them? I mean yeah there would be a lot of problems and the warden could become power hungry and treat them as slaves. I really enjoyed the first book of this series, and i'm kinda ehh on this one but i will be reading the next to see if it gets better.
3.5/5 stars.

Review: Bite Club by Rachel Caine

Bite Club is like the 10th book in the Morganville Vampires series. I enjoyed the whole series. They were exciting and keep you on your toes. They are about a girl who is super smart so she goes to college early. She ends up going to a college in Morganville, which is full of vampires. They pretty much control everything. They have some weird memory wiper set up, so if someone leaves they forget all about the vampires. The only problem is that they never let people leave. Claire (the super smart girl) ends up having to work for a very very old vampire who is insane. But he is really smart too. He has a computer that is controlled by a brain. Anyways, Claire and her friends have ton of adventures and trouble always seems to find them. Its a good series so i suggest you read it if you have time. :)
